Honda is recalling more than 3,300 copies of its 2010 Accord Crosstour to fix the front passenger airbag. Honda said the Accord Crosstour's passenger airbag had not been tested with an unbelted 6-year-old child-size test dummy, which is required by federal law. Honda said it will inspect and possibly replace the passenger airbag in 3,336 Accord Crosstours.
The 2015 Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen gets a North American preview at the New York auto show next week as a very lightly disguised TDI 4Motion concept. The production Golf station wagon will get either a 2.0-liter TDI turbocharged diesel or 1.8-liter turbocharged gasoline engine when it goes on sale in the U.S. in early 2015, but VW representatives wouldn't confirm whether a production 4Motion Golf Sportwagen would be offered.
Volkswagen has officially revealed the Mk6 Golf's swansong: the production-ready Golf R Cabriolet. First seen at the 2011's Worthersee enthusiast show, the new Golf R Cabriolet packs the same 266bhp engine as its hard-top sister, but loses its all-wheel drive underpinnings.
